RuneSpace / Update
Following the Job
Published
The Map now spells out MISSION and TURN IN in plain text, every accepted job gets a compact strip at the top of the screen, and a finished job turns blue.
Guidance used to run out at the edge of the room you were standing in. If a job's next step was somewhere else, you knew a location was probably relevant, but nothing on the Map actually said so — and once every objective on a job was done, the person waiting to receive it still glowed the same green as work you hadn't finished yet.
The Map now labels a hex MISSION when it's where an accepted job needs you next, and TURN IN when it's where a finished job gets handed in — each with a glowing outline around the hex, visible from anywhere on the Map, not just once you arrive. Get there and the same handoff you already know continues as normal: a building's Enter lights up, then the person inside.
Blue is now reserved for conversations: someone with a new job for you, or the person waiting for one you've already finished. Green always means there's still work to do. And when a job can genuinely be finished more than one way — three Power Cells can come from your Inventory, the Annex, or Bix's shelf — nothing gets highlighted for that step. That choice stays yours.
Patch notes
Added
- The Map labels a hex MISSION when it's an accepted job's destination, and TURN IN when it's where a finished job is handed in, each with a glowing outline.
- A finished job's hand-in point is now highlighted even from elsewhere, before you've arrived there.
Changed
- The person you hand a finished job to is now highlighted blue instead of green.
- Green now always means there is work still to do.
- Your accepted jobs now sit at the top of the screen as compact strips, one per job — green while work remains, blue once a job is ready to hand in. They stay there on the Map and while you travel.
Fixed
- The keyboard focus outline is now visible on buttons, including buttons highlighted for a job. Clicking or tapping a button doesn't show it.
